What is a Business Day?
A business day is widely considered any day from Monday through Friday. Weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and public holidays are excluded from business day calculations.
Why Calculate Business Days?
In the corporate and financial world, timelines are heavily reliant on working days. For example, if a bank states a transfer will take "3 to 5 business days", initiating the transfer on a Friday means it might not arrive until the following Wednesday or Friday.
